One of the beauties of traveling in and around Puerto Rico is the great variety of local flora and fauna we can come accross with. Very common and admired is the tree or arbol de Flamboyan, is the red/orange on the picture below. There a few colors of el Flamboyan that can be found in the island. The most common one is the red but we can also see them in yellow and extremely rare in the mountain range is the blue flamboyan. Another tree very common to the Aguadilla, Mayaguez, Añasco and the west coast is el Roble (Oak). This tree in its season flourishes decorating itself with a beautiful canopy of pink flowers. And how about a Mangoe tree? The picture of this tree below was taken in the town of Rincón where is very common and you can literally pick them up when ripe from the ground. Its is not rare to see cars running over them in the Mangoe peak season where they are all over. With a round endless coast line, another popular and iconic to the island is the palm coconut tree. Wait for the sun to set and you get a beautiful postcard like picture of a sunset.
