We are featuring here a set of pictures from some of the most popular lighthouses in Puerto Rico. Faro Los Morrillos in Cabo Rojo, Punta Higuero in Rincón, Faro Punta Mulas in Vieques and Faro de Arecibo. The Arecibo's lighthouse dates from 1898 and was built by the Spaniards. The lighthouse is basically a theme park where you can go back to the Spanish conquistador era. A mini zoo, Pirate's Cave, House of Puerto Rican Jíbaro, accurate replicas of Spanish and pirates ships are available including ''La Niña'', ''La Pinta'' & ''Santa Maria''. A beatiful deck and boardwalk (as seen on the photo below) facing the warm breeze of the Atlantic Ocean. El Faro de Arecibo is located in road 655 and is around one hour and half drive from San Juan. A must visit place in Puerto Rico!
