The minutes you set foot in San Juan and leave the car rental lot, you'll be driving thru Isla Verde. You will notice in no time that you are driving thru a coastline. It might not be visible because of the hotels and guesthouses from Isla Verde to San Juan are blocking the view, but the fact is that your are very close to the beach already. Honestly, from the Luis Muñoz Marin International airport to a beautiful sandy beach wont take you more than 20 to 30 minutes (depending on traffic), before you can indulge yourself with you favorite sun tan lotion and enjoy the warm beaches of the caribbean.
